After leaving your luggage at the hotel we will meet for lunch. Then we will begin our tour where we will show you and explain the most important historical and cultural sites of the capital.

Santiago de Chile, founded in 1541 by Spanish colonizers, is still today the city with the highest population concentration in the country; with the greatest economic activity and strong social contrasts and transformations. Today we will review the history and present of this narrow and long nation from the capital's perspective.

Walking we will discover the main streets and neighborhoods in the heart of Santiago, such as the Bellas Artes neighborhood, Lastarria, the Civic Center and Bellavista. There we will contemplate the most emblematic buildings of the city such as the Palacio De La Moneda, the San Francisco church, the Cathedral, the old building of the Spanish Royal Court, among others.

We will also take the cable car to the top of Cerro San Cristóbal, which will give us an excellent panoramic view of the whole of Santiago and its 640 km2 of surface area, which is home to seven of the country's 19 million inhabitants.

Night in Santiago

Day 2:

Full-day excursion: Wine cellars in the Maipo Valley.

From Santiago we will go directly to the Pérez Cruz Winery, a young vineyard that is barely 20 years old and has 240 hectares planted in one of the most privileged terroirs in the world for the production of Cabernet Sauvignon. It has the Sustainable Wine of Chile certification and a winery that has won several international architectural awards and harmonizes perfectly with the surroundings. Here we will enjoy a guided tour and a wine tasting.

Then we will leave for lunch at the restaurant in Las Majadas de Pirque, a country park where there is a palace from the beginning of the 20th century with a French style and surrounded by the Centennial Park with more than a thousand trees. The design of the gardens was the work of the French landscaper Guillermo Renner, responsible for the O'Higgins Park and the transformation of the Santa Lucía Hill into a public park.

Finally, we will visit the Aquitania Winery, a boutique vineyard located at the foot of the Andes Mountains, within the city of Santiago, in the heart of the Maipo Alto Valley. It is oriented towards the production of high quality wines in limited quantities. We will have the opportunity to observe the complete wine production process, where modern equipment is used and the tradition of artisanal processes is preserved, such as manual labeling of bottles.

Day 3:

Full-day excursion: Casablanca Valley and the Port of Valparaíso.

This valley began to be planted with vines in 1982 with just 20 hectares. By 1992, the country had already planted 700 hectares, which are now more than a thousand, with some 25 vineyards installed. The vines are grown on land that does not exceed 400 meters above sea level. 90% of the total planted area corresponds to Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Merlot strains. Its location means that it has a temperate and stable climate thanks to the coastal breezes.

The Casablanca Valley has become the tenth world capital of wine, joining the prestigious list made up of Bilbao-Rioja, Bordeaux, Christchurch-South Island, Cape Town, Florence, Mainz-Rheinhessen, Mendoza, Oporto and San Francisco-Napa Valley. To get to know it better, we will take a guided tour of the Emiliana Vineyard. Noted since 1998 for being an ecological and sustainable winery, through the biodynamic method and organic agriculture, being recognized by the Wine Association of Chile as a pioneer in the country in this type of practical approach, earning it the recognition as Chilean winery of the year in 2015. Due to its scale, it is one of the three largest organic wineries in the world.

We will continue on to Valparaíso, one of the most special cities in Chile, due to its history and its unique location by the sea and surrounded by hills. During our visit, we will tour the old town, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, surrounded by buildings dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. We will enjoy a lunch with beautiful views of the bay and visit the historic neighborhoods of Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepción, the neighborhoods of the first European immigrants. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes so you can enjoy our trip and discover the hidden treasures in the streets of Valparaíso. Then return to your hotel in Santiago.
